US Military Discount

Hello!!! I am a prior US veteran and am a 100% disabled US veteran.  I have two smart phones with ATT as my carrier. How do I get this US military/veteran discount? I went to the ATT store with my military documentation and was told by an employee that I must get a code or approved first by you online and then bring whatever information you give me back to the ATT store and that she would put the military discount into my ATT phone bill.  I, also, would like to know if a military discount is available for Direct tv? And, if so, could you please provide me with the info and actions I need to take in order to receive it? Thank you very much for your help and Happy Holidays!!!

That store told you wrong. There is no code or online approval. Perhaps what the store was looking for was the appropriate discount code since each branch of service is different but that is not information for you to provide, they should know that. See this page for information on how to sign up: https://www.att.com/poeportal/selfassessment/veterans. Make sure you go to a corporate owned store, not an authorized retailer. Sorry, but there is no longer a military discount for Directv. That was discontinued in August.
