iPhone 12 Pro stuck in SOS mode after I placed order for new iPhone

My iphone 12 pro needed to be upgraded so I called and talked to AT&T and placed and order for a new phone. When I hung up I noticed my iphone 12 pro now says SOS and I can’t make calls or text. Unable to call back I drove to a AT&T store and was there 2 hours and they couldn’t fix it. They tried 2 new SIM cards and an eSIM and finally said we’ve never seen this before you’ll just have to wait for the new phone to arrive. It’s been 4 days and I’m pretty aggravated having no cellular service. Anything you can do to help would be amazing!

I’m concerned the same issue will carry over to my new phone.

Hello Kcam, we're here to help you with your iPhone 12 Pro.

We understand the impact of not be able to make or receive calls. Let's try a hard rest which is sometimes called a force restart.

  1. Press the Volume Up button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side button (ignore the slide to power off slider). When the Apple logo appears, let go of the Side button. Wait for the iPhone 12 to restart.

If that does not work you can reach out to Apple Support.

Feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions or concerns.
