Adding contacts to email address book

I have been trying to figure out how to add contacts to my email address book. First let me say, if I send an email to someone, the next time I try to send them something, I type a couple of letters, and the name pops up, so it is being saved somewhere. So easy, under the ATT globe upper left is the little envelope, the icon to the right is the Contacts.  Click it and first entry down is New Contact. 😉

I'm sorry, I did not explain my problem very well, the problems is, when I go to the globe, then the envelope, or any of those links, a window opens, however that window is completely blank. There is nothing in that window I can click. That is what the links I posted show. Hopefully this time I explained myself better, I do have a problem explaining myself some times.
