Sending at&t.net email from Windows 7 computer

I have tried logging into Mail from https://currently.att.yahoo.com/ by clicking on Mail and using both my password and my secure code. I don't use Outlook or any other mail program, just type into my browser (Firefox or Chrome).   Only my password will log me in to pull up my mail which I can then only read - no sending, deleting, forwarding, composing, moving to a folder.  My mail works fine on my android phone using the Yahoo app.  How can I fix mail on my computer?

Hey, @martme, we're happy to help!

Try resolving this by following these troubleshooting options from our email solutions article:

  • Clear Cache and Cookies

  • Update Your Browser

  • Test signing in to your WebMail using another browser

  • Disable browser tools or add-ons

  • Disable your firewall

  • Enable Adobe Flash Player

  • Make sure Java is up-to-date: http://sm.att.com/76a39e1d

We hope this helps! If you need further assistance, just let us know.

I followed all the steps and no luck.  Cleared up-to-date Firefox cache and cookies, tried Chrome, disabled browser add-ons, windows defender is my only firewall, updated Java and installed Adobe Flash plug-in.  (I uninstalled Adobe Flash after reading "Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.")

Any more suggestions to restore my email functionality?

Access your AT&T email on the web

  1. Go to currently.com.
  2. Select Mail.
  3. Enter your email address and password.
  4. Get your authentication security code. If you have more than one phone number on your account, choose which number should get your code.
  5. Enter the code and click Submit to sign in.

When I click on "currently.com", the browser sends me to https://currently.att.yahoo.com/.  I can log in to mail with my password but not my security code.  I can then read my mail but no other functionality.

See all my responses to comments below:  I'm not sure how to answer a comment so I just posted.  SO FAR NOTHING WORKS!!  No email functionality when I log in except the ability to read my mail.

@Aminah

Note that when I type www.att.net, (my normal way before the problems) or www.currently.com   into Firefox/Chrom I automatically go to https://currently.att.yahoo.com/ .   And when I click on login, I can only use my password, my secure key won't work.  And when I am in in my email, I can do nothing except read my mail - I can't get into settings, delete, reply or any of the other links that used to work.  So my question is, how in the world do I change the server settings??

P.S.  I was able to make the changes in Thunderbird and that works.  But I want to be able to read my mail on the web.

Hi, @martme.

We recommend that you reset your password, because this may resync everything on the back end of your email account.

Let us know if this helps.

Does AT&T now work with chrome, because there is no adobe flash player in the chrome browser anymore? is just clearing cache, the disabling firewall will be enough to fix this? I have used cleaner tools like a clean master, deleted prefetch, temp files through a run command in windows.
