Cant get AT&T out to verify Fiber availability.

We are in Brookside, a new construction area in Princeton TX . Our address comes up on AT&T site, but it only shows tv options. We have contacted several of the AT&T company stores to try and get fiber service but cant seem to get an answer from anyone. Foreman says the neighborhoods are already set up for AT&T fiber but seems you have to get an employee to physically come to the site to verify. What does it take to get service from this company? I can take photos if necessary.

Photos would be very helpful. Looking for pictures of  boxes in the ground (hand hole covers (green) or concrete boxes) and also 1 or 2 door tan cabinets near a central area of the neighborhood.

Please call 1-800-288-2020 and request an address research request or fill out this web form:  https://www.att.com/shop/unified/availability/address-research-request.html

Note: it may take up to 30 days to hear back on your request.

You are wasting your time at a retail store.

Neighborhoods may be already setup but not yet "green" for your address or even available at your address.

What happens when you check other addresses near or on both sides of your address if there are completed homes already occupied.

sure, all found online using image search...

PFP are 3 size supporting max of 288, 432 or 864 addresses.

The smallest is often mounted on a pole while the other two are single door cabinet for mid or double door cabinet for 864 addresses. The largest are often near large complexes for apartment / condos with several hundred units in the complex(es).

That does not look like an AT&T pedestal. It looks like it was just recently installed and services might not be completely available.

It also looks like the cover is not secured, you could slide the tube cover straight up and take a picture of what is actually in the enclosure. We are looking for a fiber terminal that looks something like this picture. It would be mounted on a metal frame vertically.

This unit is a 4 port Corning OptiSheath Multiport terminal.

OK that is not an AT&T Fiber terminal. It looks like a Coax Tap pedestal for Cable service. May that Spectrum service you mentioned above.

Take another look around and see if you see anything that is at ground level (actual box is underground). Green or Concrete covers that are for AT&T would have AT&T on the tops / lids.

Yeah, that's a Fiber Pedestal.  You need one closer than 2 blocks away.  Somebody dropped a ball somewhere.

Yes, cat 5 cables are hanging out of the side of the house but no where to hook it up.

We have been at this for about 5 weeks so far. In the interim, Spectrum gets our money.

Thanks for educating me.

TV options as DirecTV or ATT TV?

One is satellite the other streaming service that will work with any ISP that provides at least internet 25... including both cable companies listed for zip code.

https://broadbandnow.com/Texas/Princeton?zip=75407

Some observations are...

* the zip code has population less than 7000 in 2000 now under 19000 in 2021 (good growth rate but is housing very dense?).

* ATT offers hardwired internet service to 71% of addresses

* ATT offers fiber internet service to around 24% of addresses.

* The zip code has (5) FIXED WIRELESS providers suggesting rural to semi rural area.

* Princeton is a city located in Texas. With a 2020 population of 18,388, it is the 149th largest city in Texas and the 1985th largest city in the United States. Princeton is currently growing at a rate of 13.92% annually and its population has increased by 170.13% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 6,807 in 2010. Princeton reached it's highest population of 18,388 in 2021. Spanning over 10 miles, Princeton has a population density of 1,821 people per square mile.

Looking for either fiber pedestals (round tops with square bases) or hand holds likely every other lot or 2.

The new construction area may have fiber started but not yet completed. As a general rule all addresses from the local PFP would be turned green for ordering at the same.... thus existing houses in the local subdivision eligible for fiber ordering? If no, the PFP is not yet active. Look for the PFP near the front entrance, posts pics with questions.
