Arrogant terrible customer service

My phone has extremely poor signal in my area (I recently moved here). I contacted customer service on 10/11/2022 and was told that my issue would be resolved on 10/12/2022, if not then a cell booster would be sent to my address. However, after one week, no updates from AT&T at all nor any improvement of my cell signal.

So today 10/17/2022, I contacted the customer service again with the ticket number I got on 10/11. A so-called "supervisor" (this person's name is Koripally) answered but with very arrogant attitude. Koripally gave me no update or helpful information except for telling me "it was in the process". When I asked Koripally how to provide feedback, he told me there would be a survey once I close the chat. But guess what, apparently there's no survey or any entry point I can enter feedback once the chat was closed. Even the agent who helped me last week didn't really solve my issue, at least he was very eager to help. But this Koripally's way of answering is just terrible and ignorant, while lying that "Once the chat has ended. You can share your feedback".

I need help for 2 things:

1. Stronger signal in my area (I am not even asking for great phone call quality, at least I want my phone to be able to receive regular text message)

2. Please help channel my feedback for this customer agent: Koripally

@queena1117  This is a public customer populated forum only. It is not AT&T Support, so no one here has access to any CS Agent nor do they bother to read these forums.

It's interesting that AT&T CS said they would send out a Cell Booster if they couldn't fix the problem on their end (which they can't). Unless AT&T has changed their support procedures, the Cell Booster is not free. It now costs $238 or thereabouts for the Cell Booster or about $600 for the Cell Booster Pro. They were free around the first of the year for previous MicroCell users (the Cell Booster is still a femtocell like the MicroCell was and is not an actual cellular booster) but that program ended around March.

The Cell Booster will broadcast an LTE signal in your home and then use your internet connection to transmit that signal to the AT&T Mobility Servers. See my Cell Booster Tech Guide, link is in my sig line for all things related to the Cell Booster.

If you want to improve your in-home coverage, the recommended method is to use WiFi-C (WiFi Calling) if your phone is capable. Coverage outside of your home is totally dependent on the macrocells (towers) closest to you.

What kind of phone do you have?

If your signal is poor throughout the area, what you should probably consider is switching to a different carrier. ATT just might not be the right carrier for wherever you moved. It’s up to each customer to select the carrier that provides the coverage they need where they need it. To expect ATT to improve their signal is not realistic.
