AT&T family secure app
I am on my ex’s plan and he’s tracking my movements. He won’t give me the account number or the pin and the rep at the AT&T store said changing carriers and phone numbers won’t matter, he will still be able to track me, is this true? Is there anything I can do short of a factory reset?

Technically, he's tracking his phone's movements (as far as AT&T is concerned, it's his phone/line).
If you change carriers, I can't imagine how he'd track you with AT&T family secure app. (I'm assuming you wouldn't leave any AT&T apps on there once you left).

From what I understand; it’s an app that’s hidden on the phone so children can’t uninstall it or disable it and even if I switch carriers it will still be on there and able to transmit everything via wifi. He won’t give me the pin to the account so AT&T can’t help in anyway, not even to tell me if he’s paying for the service let alone take it off my phone.

Then only inform those you want to have your new number.
