Landline Phone Troubleshooting

If I get a landline phone service to my home will I be able to use a rotary phone and have it function or is the landline service to Berea Ohio 44017 not compatible with the old phones? I’d really like to install and use a rotary phone Thanks 

When someone calls it says it's no longer in service but seems to work on my end but don't hear the calls. Phone doesn't seem to be charging?

I want to know why my phone number shows up as unknown when I make outgoing calls off my AT&T home phone.
