Please forward the message to 7726. This will be a free message that won't count towards your text plan. If you're not able to view the number, forward the entire message to abuse@att.net.

Someone may contact you saying there is a problem with your rewards account or gift card - this is a scam.
They may say the card was accidentally sent without funds or with less than it was supposed to have. Then they’ll ask for the card information and numbers, telling you they need the information to add funds or send a replacement card.
This is a lie. Do not give them any of your gift card information.
If you get a call like this hang up. If it’s an email or a text, ignore and delete it.

There is a common scamming practice known as number spoofing where someone's phone number can be used to call other people and attempt to get personal and private information.
This is illegal and your account or usage is in no way affected by number spoofing.
You can fight number spoofing by:
• Downloading the free AT&T ActiveArmorSM mobile security app to send unknown calls to voicemail and to help block and control annoying spam calls (accept, block or send to voicemail). The built-in 24/7 network protection detects and blocks calls from likely fraudsters before they reach you.1
• Taking advantage of Apple's Silence Unknown Callers which will block phone numbers that you've never been in contact with and don't have saved in your contacts list.
You can learn more about number spoofing and what to do about it on our CyberAware site.
