When will I receive my trade in credits?

I traded in my iPhone for 800$ value for an iPhone 14 pro my first bill is charging me full price for the installment plan on the 14! so when I receive the credits will I now be charged 3$ a month for the installment since I paid full price for the plan ? I don’t wanna be scammed and have my money stolen paying full price for the phone then the credits come in and y’all take my money

Hello Mrosales00! Let's clear up some things about your trade-in credits.

You will receive the credits depending on whether the trade-in smartphone meets AT&T Trade-In Program requirements and meets the minimum trade-in value requirements when AT&T takes possession of trade-in device.

As already shared, credits start within 3 bills after trade-in is completed and will be applied in equal amounts over the term of installment agreement. You will receive catch-up credits once bill credits start.

You'll find these details under Important Notes when you visit AT&T Trade-in Program.

Let us know if this helps. Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.

Huh? I’m not understanding your question. It takes up to 3 bill cycles for your trade in credits to show. Where are you getting that $3 figure, did you buy an $800 phone or one more expensive? If you bought something more expensive, you pay the difference. If you bought an $800 phone, the monthly credit will be equal to the phone payment.

Im getting 3 dollars based off on the 3 billing cycles , where im going to have to pay full price on the iPhone 14 pro! I traded in an iPhone and it’s annoying that I’m having to pay full price for the 14 pro for 3 months to wait for my credits! So due to the 800$ credits I was supposed to pay only 5$ for 36 months and I added up full amount im paying for the 3 months which should decrease the amount I’ll pay when the credits come in, im not sure how the credits will work or come in, im hoping they’ll give me back my money for the full price im paying right now or have me pay a lower amount for the phone due to the credits arriving at a later time !

They first 3 months get credited retro. You should probably read what you signed up for to understand how it works.

Your post still isn’t making sense to me. When your credits start, you will get back credits for previous payments. So if credits start on the third phone payment, you’ll get credits for the first and second payment too.

I did this for my iPhone X trading up to iPhone 11. I signed up for 30 months, too.  I didn't get the credit, lost my iPhone X, and locked into paying twice as much as I paid T-Mobile for 30 months!!! Still paying. Can't afford a new phone. I will NEVER do business with ATT again.  They DID scam me!  I am STILL (Edited per community guidelines) after this long.  Can't wait to go back to T-Mobile.

That's not what we want for our customers, Mareli. We want to look into this for you.

We just need a little more information in order to reach a definite resolution.

  • How long has it been since you signed up? As explained above, credits start within 3 bills after trade-in is completed and the credits will be applied in equal amounts over the term of installment agreement. You will receive catch-up credits once bill credits start.

These details are found under Important Notes when you visit AT&T Trade-in Program.

Reach back out and let us know so that we can get you a resolution into your experience. If it's been longer than 3 bills we want to help you find why those credits haven't yet applied.
