Question on transferring billing responsibility
Hi,
I have 10 lines on the same wireless account with unlimited plus plan. Let's call them
Primary line A
Some other line B
All other 8 lines
I want to make line B the account owner, so line A (the current account owner) can be ported to somewhere else. And during the process I want to retain the existing unlimited plus plan for the remaining 9 lines (which is no longer available).
I did a lot of research online but none seems to be feasible.
Transfer billing responsibility for line B + other 8 lines to B. But B will need to select a new plan and won't be able to keep the existing plan
Transfer billing responsibility only A out of the plan. I'm not sure if this is possible since A is the account owner line. What will happen if A is ported out? Did some other line automatically become the new account owner?
Move line A to its own account with a new plan. Again not sure what will happen to the remaining 9 lines.

You don’t have to change the account owner in order to port line A. Line A is just the primary line on the account, it’s not the account owner. If you port it, some other line will become primary. You can call customer support and have them make some other line primary before you port, if you want, but it’s not necessary.

I think the concern is removing the user of A as the person responsible, their SS# and name. And keeping the old plan.
The only time a person has to choose a new plan, is if the account owner dies and account must be closed. In this case you're not closing the account so a change of billing responsibility and keeping the same plan as possible.
If someone told you you could not keep the same plan, I am sure it's because they get credit for moving you off of a plan they want to get rid of. Dig your heels in or talk to somebody else
