Keep Americans Connected Pledge

My service was disconnected and I was told that AT&T has signed a do not cancel service due to the pledge that they signed to not cancel services due to the Coronavirus. When will my service be reconnected? This pledge is active for the next 60 days. I will make a payment on my bill in 2 weeks.

COVID-19

If you were already disconnected, I doubt you are included in a pledge signed on 3/13

@tgogins If you pay your bill then why were you disconnected?

By pointing out that it takes three weeks for you to get paid, you have admitted that your situation has nothing to do with the virus. You just bought something you couldn’t afford.

@ATDoesntCare First of all if you were on top of your business you would know that you sound like a uneducated clown. If you know like I do you should have something to back up what you’re discussing. I pay my bill, in fact I’m not without because I have multiple phone and their not all prepaid. The agreement never specified whether it’s for only contracted or prepaid it said ANY which means all.

Read for yourself!!! Don’t think you know something without the facts. One thing don’t have nothing to do with the other. So like I said MIND THE BUSINESS THAT PAYS YOU!!

This is a customer-to-customer forum and we are all customers JUST LIKE YOU.

Shoutout to everyone who can remember their childhood phone number but can't remember the password they created yesterday.  You are my people.  😊

My understanding is that they are not going to do any new disconnections for people who are late. If you were already disconnected, it is very unlikely you will be reconnected for free.

The purpose of Keep America Connected was to help people who are harmed by the virus situation. It doesn’t mean they are just giving free phone service to everyone who doesn’t pay their bills.

I’m in a similar situation as the poster above me. I did a payment arrangement due March 17. I work for Duval county as a school bus driver. Schools were just announced to be closed for another week, extending spring break. We don’t get paid for spring break and now I’m having to suffer another week with no pay. I can’t pay my bill and wondering if then can cancel and postpone that payment.

@ATDoesntCare First of all, I pay my bill and if they didn’t want to do it they shouldn’t have agreed to not disconnect services. I’ve had service with them for years. I wasn’t asking for free phone service but this has put a damper on everyone lives as of late. The grocery stores have run out of food because of this epidemic that has impacted us all in one way or another. I just returned to work and haven’t received my check yet. If you know anything about that you will know that you will work 3 weeks before receiving your first check. So mind the business that pays you. If it’s not helpful insight, you can keep tour personal opinions to yourself. Thank you very much!

@ltmehey12_ I’m not sure but when I called AT&T they offer to give me a $2 daily option to keep my phone activated until everything is resolved in a complete bill pay so I get to keep my services.

@tgogins That means you are prepaid? only prepaid hasca $2 per day option.

Prepaid has no bill, so there is no offer ”not to disconnect” for prepaid.
