Integrated Solutions Consultant

ATT - what a nightmare. The “Consultant” came to my house with the fiber repair tech. All the promises if we changed from Verizon. Should have never done that. First, told our monthly bill including taxes would be $139. First month it was $199. It was for 4 lines but we only transferred 3 lines. I got them to credit $60. Next was the $250 Visa gift card per line. Guess what, no one at ATT knows anything about the promotion. The consultant isn’t answering his phone & occasionally returns a text.  Whats’s my next step?

This is definitely not the experience we want you to have, @lindylu333. We are here to shed some light on why your first bill is higher and when to expect your reward card.

We do understand how frustrating it must be to have a higher bill than expected. Here's why your first bill can be higher than average:

  • It has one-time activation fees and equipment charges.
  • We bill you for your first full month of service in advance.
  • If you start service in the middle of a bill period, you’ll have charges for the days you used the service. These charges are partial-month service charges.

If your service starts in the middle of your bill period, your first bill will show partial-month charges. These are the charges for the days from the start of your service to the beginning of your first full bill period.

When it comes to reward cards, you will receive a reward notification email or letter, then you would review and claim your reward on our online Reward Center page by entering your claim number or billing account number. Once you’ve claimed your reward, met the service requirement, if any on your offer and your active service has been confirmed, most customers receive their reward within three weeks. This may be up to nine weeks from your installation / activation date.

We can also use some additional information.

  • When did you switch over from Verizon and activate service with us? This will give us a time frame on when to expect your reward card.
  • Can you provide us with more information about the promotion you selected? This will help us locate the promotion and to see if you have met all the requirements.
  • Did you want to transfer all 4 lines? If so, you will need to complete the porting process to get your line transferred to us.

We do look forward to your response to help get to the bottom of this.

I can’t locate my post, so I’ll redo it.

No activation fees.

Never received Reward notification. Customer Service in ATT Rewards indicated that salesperson never activated it. Salesperson said 4-6 weeks.

Effective date of service was June 10th.

Selected 3 $250 Visa gift cards

We don’t and never had 4 lines. We only have 3. The 4th phone number I have never seen it and customer service has canceled it. Why would the salesperson add a false line? Does he get more commission? What is the porting process?

I have text and tried calling the salesperson. Occasionally he responds. His last was that he has escalated the rewards and we should receive in 4-7 days but of course, nothing.

My additional mistake with this whole process was not realizing that the Verizon promotion took 3 years to be effective, so Verizon took $986 from my checking account. The salesperson told us that he used to work for Verizon and when I kept mentioning that the balance on my Verizon phone was $400 after the promotion credit, and how long I had the phone, he never corrected my assumption because he wouldn’t have gotten the sale and I guess honesty isn’t part of his personality. The 3 gift cards will help to off set the Verizon charge.

Please advise the next step.

Thanks

I thought the $250 reward was limited to two per account. Which means you'll get $500 not $750.

Your wireless account is eligible for a 25% discount off the entire plan cost because you are a Fiber customer.

There's also a stackable $10 per line discount for autopay and paperless billing.

Are both in place?

Base price before 25% off for 3 lines is premium180, extra 150, or Starter 135

After  25% respectively...

135, 112, or 101.25

FYI. AT&T has no access to your Verizon account. The only thing they can do is Port over your phone numbers if you have provided the correct information, that would be your account number and your Port pin. It's up to you to know whether or not you have a balance on your phone and how much that balance is, and understand that AT&T is not responsible for it, you are.

Salesperson told us 1 per phone line which is $750. So is this another misrepresentation from a ATT salesperson?

Yes, we are autopay & paperless. What’s interesting on the paperless is that I’ve been trying to get a PDF for my latest bill & there’s an “error on ATT’s side” so I can’t view my statement! What’s next?

I’m not asking anyone to access my Verizon account. I was just providing “lack of morals on the salesman’s part” info when I was telling him what I believed to be the pay off on my Verizon account and due to his prior work experience with Verizon he could have total me what actually was going to happen but he of course wanted the sale so he choose to let me believe in error what was going to happen. I know I am responsible for my lack of understanding of how the promotion credit worked through Verizon. Who are you when you can’t even read the whole story?
