How long does a transfer of billing responsibility take?
I’m getting conflicting answers on how long it should take to get the emails to accept billing responsibility. First we were told 24-48 hrs then when we asked after that time had pasted we were told a week. We are almost at a week and no email.

It may depend on the type of account. If both of you have active AT&T consumer accounts the transfer can take a couple of minutes. At least it did when my sister and I moved phone numbers back and forth.
If a new account has to be established for someone, that can take several days but has to be completed within 2 weeks
Service on both accounts is prorated to show only the actual days used. The receiving account is charged to $19 fee
