First AT&T wireless bill seems really high?
Just started an Unlimited Elite contract with AT&T. I remember the salesperson telling me that my first bill will appear super high on the AT&T app but that it wouldn’t be the actual cost. My first bill is showing up at around $280 for two lines. This seems unusually high? I was told my monthly rate would be around $120 with the included first responder discount. Why is that?
It says it’s due in 18 days but I just joined about 6 days ago.
Thanks in advance.

The first bill will also include two activation fees ($35 IIRC). There's also a prorated charge for the few days of service before the first billing cycle actually began.
Since the bill came out so soon after you started service, it's also possible the discount wasn't applied--did you check that?

I’m sure that $120 rate also includes the autopay discount. Two lines on unlimited elite with both discounts should be $112.50 plus taxes and fees. The first responder discount may not have been applied and the autopay discount may not have been applied either. That also wouldn’t include any phone payments, did you buy phones? Also make sure no extras you didn’t ask for, like insurance, got added.
