Don’t move your service to AT&T!
I really need to post this someplace for folks to see prior to signing up.
I signed up for AT&T at a Sam’s Club. It has been a perpetual nightmare since that date almost a year ago. AT&T uses folks from the Philippines for Customer Service. They are pleasant enough but can’t seem to make any changes. Every phone call is at least an hour and I get transferred to a ‘manager’ when I ask which is another person from the Philippines. Again, always pleasant and respectful. The problem is my bill is twice what I was told it would be and more than I was paying at Verizon, which is how they got me to switch- by telling me my bill would be way cheaper. I have the emails with the original quote as well as the second quote. Yes, I would save an additional $30 if I would sign up for auto pay but who in their right mind would do that when the bill is well over $100 off?! I also did not get credit for the phones I traded in. I really wish I had them back. It should be illegal but unless you have the time and means to fight it legally you are just screwed. It really is not worth the stress to stay with this company. I hope you go bankrupt.

Prices quoted are for paperless billing and auto pay. Credits start after the third billing cycle and will be back credited from day one. If you are past the 3 billing cycles, file a BBB complaint and someone higher up at AT&T will contact you for a resolution.

Well, that pretty much explains why the bill is over $100 off. The $30 in autopay discount would suggest 3 lines and that plus 3 phone payments not getting trade in credits would easily add up to $100. If you have any proof of the trade ins, file the complaint as suggested. The complaint will result in someone from ATT’s Office of the President contacting you. They are often able to resolve trade in credit issues.

It seems like you're making things as hard as possible. If you need to change to the correct plan, you can do that online. Those 3rd-party sales people at Sam's and the like don't have the best reputation for honesty, so the price quote might not be possible, but you can at least make sure you're on the correct plan.
Not getting credit for 3 trade ins could easily be the reason the bill is $100 more than expected. Have you looked at the tracking to see if they were delivered? If you called AT&T and asked about the promotion?
If you have evidence the package was accepted at the post office (e.g., a receipt; I'm not sure a tracking number will help much at this point, but someone at the post office might have more resources to look up old tracking numbers) file a BBB complaint and you'll get escalated to someone who can help with these more unusual, difficult to solve cases.
Without that evidence, you can still file the complaint, but you'll have to convince the person that responds you're on the level.
