Does ATT see dead people in order to vote with their names

My brother died 6 months ago.

I presented his death certificate to an ATT store, and was assured that I would receive no more bills.

I called ATT after receiving another bill and was assured that I would receive no more bills.

I just received a bill from ATT on my Brothers account stating that it was overdue and it might be referred to a collection agency.

I can wait to hear another 'Sorry for your loss' sympathy call.

File a complaint with the BBB.  Those are handled by the OOP.

Perhaps @ATTHelp will wonder by and offer to help.

If the bill's threatening collections, it sounds like the account has been closed, but there was a bill outstanding when it was canceled.

Spare me!

I settled all bills when I presented the death certificate.

You "settled all bills" that were available at the time you were in the store. That doesn't mean there wasn't another bill in process or remaining charges not yet billed. The most common would be an installment plan on a phone purchase, where the remaining balance became due immediately.

If you are sure that isn't the case, file the BBB complaint.
