credit refund

closed my account with AT&T in January with 632.89 credit in my account. In my Februay 26 to March 25 billing my 632.89 for Wireless-Misc immed OTC-No Tax Mar 18. Is that AT&T's way of saying we're stealing your money on a closed account?

Is it a prepaid account? Prepaid does not refund.

If it is a post paid account, why is there a $632.89 credit?

That could help get you an answer.

If you closed your account in January, there shouldn’t be a Februay 26 to March 25 bill. I don’t know what “Wireless-Misc immed OTC-No Tax Mar 18” means but I’d say your account isn’t closed, hence any credit would be applied to subsequent bills until gone.

@sandblaster what subsequent bills. I'm with verizon since January. The only thing in my account was the $632.89. March 18th AT&T charged my account $632.89 for Wireless-Misc immed OTC-Tax Mar 18. I've tried talking to them about it. the first time I got the runaround until the phone just went dead. The second time I thought I was getting somewhere I was  told they were getting their manager. Then my account screen froze.

AT&T said they would like to help me. Then gave me the same run around. Guess I will go to verizons facebook and twitter accounts and thank them for treating me good. Then tell them how AT&T stole $632.89 from my closed account with a credit of $632.89.

Credit why?

Figured we might as well ask, maybe there's something we're missing. Did you have phones that were not paid off at the time you switched?

I had a $632.89 credit in my account when it was closed where did it go?

If I had a credit that means everything was paid. only one phone.

Why did you have a credit? Having a credit at all is unusual, having a credit that high extremely unusual.

That does not answer the question as to why you had such a large credit?

Why did you pay more into the account than was owed?

What were you paying for?

AT&T postpaid does not allow you to pay more online then your bill due amount.  So the only way to overpay for prepaid is to send a check in the mail.

If you send a check in the mail for more than your bill, why did you do that and what was the reason you paid in more than you owed a t and t?

Again, why did you have a credit? If you were issued a courtesy credit for something and chose to cancel the balance would be zeroed out. Regardless, there will be an automated note in the system why the credit was zeroed out. The only way you would get a credit balance on the account when canceling is if you overpaid and I doubt you overpaid $632.

Where are you seeing "632.89 for Wireless-Misc immed OTC-No Tax Mar 18."?

Is that on an AT&T bill or on a bank/credit card statement?

I traded my phone for the I13. but when they got my phone they said they weren't giving me anything toward the new phone. So I told them to send me my old phone back then. then I paid for the new phone already. so they gave a credit.
