Charge date for my autopay bill has been changed - what can I do to get back on the old schedule?

My payment charge date has been the 2nd of the month for as long as I have had autopay enabled.  Suddenly, my charge date has changed to the 20th, so a payment was taken out May 2, and the following month (which normally would have been June 2) was taken out on May 20, a mere 18 days later (and not the right pay period that I budget for.)  My billing data range has NOT changed.

What do I do to get back on the old payment schedule?  And why was it changed without any advance notice except for one line on the last bill (that I didn't notice)?

Did you per chance change your autopay source to a credit card? When using a credit card, autopay is taken 6 days after the start of your bill cycle but a bank account or debit card is taken 2 days before your bill due date.

I did - thank you for the information!  I will switch it back - it was temporary anyway.
