Cannot get my account corrected over phone
Upgraded phone-store added next up without asking - called and csr advised cannot be cancelled. Added another line which they added assurian without asking.
same call to csr asking to cancel assurian, the agent cancelled on the wrong line. When I discovered and called again, it was added back, at $14.00 rather than $8.99 that I had always paid. Was told tough luck, I shouldn’t have cancelled. I DID NOT CANCEL, csr did. Same response.
I have called a total of 5 times, been told corrections would be made, to date none have been.
And, none of the 5 calls were USA agents. We have a business account-the owner has advised that I cancel ATT and find another carrier. Looking now.

Consider switching carriers as per the owner's suggestion due to ongoing issues with unwanted additions and poor customer service from ATT. Research and compare alternative providers for a smoother transition. Good luck finding a new carrier that meets your needs!

Next up cannot be canceled until after 14 days. So call after 2 weeks and request it be canceled and a credit issued for the $6.
You can check your previous bills, but insurance has not been $8.99 for quite some time. I don't even know if you can add insurance at that rate anymore.
If you have an iPhone or a Samsung, you should be purchasing insurance directly from the manufacturer. Asurion insurance is more expensive and offers less for what you are paying than either AppleCare plus loss and theft, or Samsung care purchase directly.

Next Up was added on April 11 - so has been over 14 days - agent still said couldn't be cancelled. I have been paying 8.99 for at least 3 years. Grandfather business plan. Didn't know about insurance through Apple or Samsung. Checking on that now. THX

Apple Care and Samsung require purchasing coverage within 60 days of phone. Won't work for us - have had our phones for several years. :(
