Can someone explain my wireless charges?

Hi all,

I have one phone on my wireless plan, and I also pay around $45/mo. for internet services. I'm being charged $121 a month. My current phone is paid off.

When I expand the "Wireless" portion of my bill, there are two charges. One "shared plan charge" for $35.32, and then a charge for my phone number. It literally says:

"XXX.XXX.0643

Sarah Ashley Mason" - with a $40.56 charge. Bringing the total I'm paying for wireless to $75.88.

I feel like this might be too much. Could someone break this down? Why would I get charged for a shared plan, and also my own phone #? Seems like a lot but maybe that's just how it is.

That is the way ATT bills. All plans are “shared” plans whether you have only one line or multiple lines. There is one charge for whatever data plan you have and then a line charge for each line. What is the name of your wireless plan? $75 for one line after adding taxes and fees is not high at all if it’s an unlimited data plan.

Your bill would also have the name of your plan. What is the name of your Wireless plan?

Oh, well maybe I'm getting a better deal than I thought! I graduated recently and never had to have my own internet/wireless! New adult.

It says I have "AT&T Unlimited &More(SM) One Line"

The unlimited and more plan is about $5 more expensive than the current unlimited starter for the exact same service. For $5 more you can get unlimited extra which is $75 for the base plan with auto pay and pay for this billing discount.  Unlimited extra gets you hotspot access if you need it.

However! You may be on some special deal with the two plans you have now that give you a discount 4 your internet plan.  Don't change plans without verifying if you are getting a discount for this combo

@rock702

What is AT&T next up (sm) upgrade feature?

Next up is a $5 fee which allows you to upgrade once your phone is 50% paid off.

If you do not want to upgrade early, you can remove this feature by logging into your account and managing this charge (remove)

  1. Sign into your myAT&T account.
  2. Go to the account overview and select See my bill.
  3. Select Manage installment plan under Billing & payment options.
  4. Select Learn about or cancel Next Up.
  5. Follow the prompts provided.
