Business billing

I canceled our account in May. I have sent emails and have spent hours and hours on the phone. I was told several times my account was cancelled, and billing would be corrected. I am now being sent to collections. Anyone else have such issues with this horrible company?

after you cancelled, did you receive another bill? ATT does not prorate accounts, so you probably owed for  the last billing cycle. If you did not pay that, you would eventually be sent to collections.

Was the amount due growing each month? If not, then it was your final bill. If the account wasn't canceled, then the bill would have approximately double each month until it was canceled and sent to collections.

I did receive and pay my last bill. I have cancellation numbers, names of employees, dates of emails... and still I have to sit on hold. 2 hours so far today. This company really lacks customer service.

If your service wasn't canceled, then it's not possible for you to have received the "last bill."

I assumed it was my "last bill" as that is what I was told before it arrived. I have cancellation confirmation numbers, employee ids, emails, equipment return receipt. After my last bill was paid. I received another bill and called and was told I would see that amount credited on the next bill, showing a zero balance.

And then after that did you receive another bill which added on another month of "service"

Also, what service are you referring to. You posted in wireless, but mentioned returning equipment, which wireless accounts don't do.

We had wireless hotspot (I guess) and phones. The bill is for "wireless" services.
