Billing and rate hikes
Is AT&T trying to run off all of their customers???? I've been a loyal wireless customer for 37 years and a Uverse customer for 11 years. All of my services with AT&T have gone up over $165.00 per month combined in the last month with no explanation other than they want to phase out Uverse. When I look at other options for TV service like Direct Streaming they offer no discounts or incentives for long time customers, none, NADA! They have also gone up on my internet service and wireless with no explanation of charges. When I get on chat to inquire about price increases they tell me to call the billing department after I wait 20 mins for someone to respond on chat, what a joke. In the past I've always received pretty good customer service from AT&T but this no longer seems to be the case. There are too many other providers and options available these days to put up with this kind of service. Am I the only one that is being treated this way or this the new way of AT&T doing business these days???????????????

First off, there is an annual price hike each year. The notification is included in your bill.
AT&T has cut back on discounts. There are some out there but not to the degree they once were.
Yes, there are other providers. Get pricing on those, call CS and say "cancel". That should get you to the Loyalty Team. If anyone can offer a discount, it's them.

@anglerman52 no you're not the only!I have been dealing with this almost 2 weeks,and still nothing has been fixed after multiple calls to loyalty.They'll offer maybe a cell booster for your home address.As goes for fixing the service,give it up!We have an ETA of 11/30/2022 just for us to even have 4g speeds back!

I am currently experiencing the same issue! My bill keeps going up (without notice), but my internet is slower! How does that work?! Not acceptable!

Get online and look for other options. I dropped TV entirely and internet only is cheaper. I rotate a couple streaming services.
For wireless, check current rates, prepaid, consumer cellular.
And as I always say cut the fat. Drop extra channels from your TV service, drop insurance, watches and tablets, and anything extra that showing up on your cell phone bill.
If you call AT&T and ask them to "lower your bill" , they will sell you on something that will make it go up instead.

They don't answer their support line (had to call 3 times to get a person- and wasted 1/2 hr before I could talk to anyone) ... Rate hiked WITHOUT NOTICE.... I'm leaving. I called upgrade my phones NOT to change my plan. They upped my monthly fee WITHOUT NOTICE AND CLAIM THEY SENT A TEXT... NO TEXT!!! I've search my phone. Yes, this is how they reward you. Verizon, here I come! All my friends love Verizon and I am hating AT&T with a passion after this last (and yes, last and final) encounter!!!

@LLC I'm with you on this one!No rate increase as of yet on my business account,but I've been expecting it!You're better off at this point with Verizon if you own your devices out right,and if they're compatible!The data is way faster,and the coverage is 10x the coverage of AT&T's..Pfftt!

@LLC
Rate hikes are always notified on the bill as required.
Rate hike and change plans isn't the same thing.
611 is how you reach support
