ATT Return Label Scam....



i was part of a family plan and upgraded my phone to samsung while at the time I moved to Beaverton... Since the store did not have the specific samsung phone they shipped the phone to my home and since I activated, I had issues with coverage... AFter repeated escalations, decided to return the phone...


1. Walked to the ATT store in Beaverton to return the phone within the return window

2. Store guy asked me to use the return label that came with the shipment and he said he cannot accept return in the store despite within the return window as it was delivered to home.

3. Used the return label and dropped off at UPS location as instructed

4. Asked for tracking number and UPS told there is no tracking number as this is courtesy service done by UPS on Behalf of ATT

5. My crime is I believed what ATT store guy and UPS guy told me ...


Now after 60 days my Bill is 1000$ and I have been in calls with ATT, Chat with ATT atleast 5 times and escalated numerous times... My bill issue is not resolved... I have spoke to the UPS store three times and all I am getting is bounced between ATT store and UPS...


I have given the order details, Tracking number, Receipt number and still no-one from ATT can figure this out and now I am liable to pay 810$ for no fault of mine...


- My question - Why cannot they use the receipt number and find the IMEI of the phone or any serial of the phone and check if it is returned or not. Whats the point of return label if they cannot TIE an order to the return label... Neverthless, if these are ATT System issues , where they cannot track the phone, why will I pay 810$ .... Need this issue resolved. Last thing I would do is take liability and pay the money... Its not about the money and I see in the forums there are lot of customers having this issue... It has to be resolved immediately ....


I am not sharing any of account details, I am hoping someone in this community look at this and reach out to me to resolve the issue

I'm sorry you are having this problem. If they have a tracking number, is it showing as shipped at all? In which case you would be off the hook.
