AT&T never gave me the deal I was promised neither the trade in value.

Around 6 month ago. I saw that AT&T had a deal where you can trade in a good Galaxy pone for the brand new Galaxy S23 ULTRA. So i took my galaxy S20 that I got from AT&T and went to a corporate store. The manager checked it and deemed it eligible for the deal, he proceeded to take my old phone and gave me the brand new Galaxy S23 ULTRA and told me that the offer will kick in a month or two. I have never received any trade in value even know AT&T took my old phone.
It's been 6 month and I spoke to countless representative for hours, And it was the same story everytime. Nothing happens even now I was told that I will receive a 1000$ trade in value by one of the representative.
I tried everything in my power to get this issue resolved but it doesn't seem to proceed forward. my account is still debited monthly basis as if I purchased the phone while AT&T have a phone that is mine. Do you have any advice on what to do? my last resort is to stop paying my bill in hope that AT&T would take my case seriously.

Stopping payments on your bill will work out very, very badly for you.  They aren’t going to reach out and ask why you’re not paying the bill.  They will simply send you overdue bill notices, and then cancel your account, send it to collections, and hit your credit report.

You can file a BBB or FCC complaint to get it escalated to upper management.  Hopefully you have proof that you traded in a phone, because without it, it’s just your word.  Good luck.

@aidanakroune  From what I’ve heard, a number of people have had success with the FCC or BBB route.  That said, not every case is resolved successfully, for various reasons.  Sometimes, complaints just don’t have a case that they can prove, but that doesn’t mean that the process doesn’t work.

FYI there are no AT&T company owned stores in zip code 11385.

The only company stores are in Brooklyn, Elmhurst, Forest hills, Jackson heights, Corona, Astoria, and in New York City, Jamaica, flushing

So while it may have said AT&T on the front it also set authorized retailer somewhere on the front. That means it's a franchise store not owned by AT&T

So any problems that you had you'll have to take them up with the store manager, or the franchise owner of that store

If you did the trade in at an AT&T store you should have received a receipt as proof of trade-in.

Yes?

Where is it?

Are you on a qualified unlimited data plan?  Metered plans don't qualify.  The value plus plan does not qualify

Of course they never gave me a receipt. I just went to the store (6676 Fresh Pond Rd, Queens, NY 11385) and an associate at this location told me that the individuals who I gave the phone ( a manager and an assistant manager) have probably never sent your phone in the first place and just stole it.

@formerlyknownas I meet all the requirements for the deal, I got the phone from AT&T and payed it fully when i went to do the trade in plus I had an unlimited plan at that time.

@dwill05 I filled a BBB and a FCC report but after reading so many posts on reddit and this forum, I don't have much hope.

@formerlyknownas @dwill05 The BBB is no joke!!! in less than 24 hours of filing a complaint, I was contacted by someone from AT&T and my issue was resolved. Thank you for your help fellas and I wish you a great rest of your the day.
