Any way to get help while travelling abroad?
Anyone know of any way I can contact AT&T through email or a way I do not have to log in or turn my cellular service on? Their website is requiring text verification for me to log in. They are charging me roaming charges fraudulently since both phones on this trip on my plan have had roaming and cellular turned off since before we got on the plane to leave the US, so I am not giving them a valid excuse to charge me all this money by turning cellular on even once to try their supposedly free international number.
This company is single-handedly ruining my vacation I saved years for. I just need to talk to someone about why I am getting charged for roaming when we turned everything but wifi off. These charges for this period were for the very beginning of the vacation. If I don't get this resolved now next month's bill is going to be a bazillion dollars. Just to reiterate, we have not used anything but wifi since leaving the US. Not even for a second.
They never check this forum and reply? No email options at all? Anything?

Go back to your hotel, or guest house.
- You can call AT&T using WiFi Calling if you have it activated on your AT&T account.
- Turn on WiFi Calling on your handset (assuming it has that capability)
- Connect to WiFi
- After a few moments, look for the AT&T WiFi message on the phone
Hopefully you do have WiFi Calling capability. You don't need Cellular or data to do this.
Worked perfectly for me in South America.
Tnx

Okay. Awesome. We got this resolved. I tried chat again and when it prompts you to sign in I just kept typing "I can not" until the computer gave up and transferred me to a person, and the best part is it didn't redirect so the screen didn't refresh and I didn't lose chat.
Just FYI, Wireless_user21 is right. My GF's phone has that, but mine doesn't, so that could have been another way to contact AT&Twithout turning cellular on. Thank you very much for that info.
The message I got yesterday said International charges, so I assumed it was due to us being in Thailand now, but it was to calls to the hotel here way before we left. I thought I had free international calls since I called Mexico before without getting charged, but my plan is only free to Mexico and Canada. So the extra charges were correct. Just FYI - use Line or Whatsapp to make international calls because it csosts an arm and a leg to do it regular.
The agent I talked to was wonderful and extremely helpful in explaining everything and ensuring me my next month bill will be right (as long as we don't make anymore international cellular calls of course). He even gave us a credit too. I couldn't be happier with the result and feel better about this.
Thank you very much for all your help everyone. I really do wish AT&T made it easier to contact them while abroad, but it worked out well.

there is no email address for support, the only way to contact them is to chat or call, no at&t does not red or respond to these forums, this is a customer populated forum
the numbers below are free calls from your at&t cell

@Constructive The OP actually has another long thread detailing his issue. He was hoping to get a reply from ATTHelp but they typically only respond to 2-3 day old threads that have no other response. I was hoping no one would reply to this thread to see if that would prompt ATTHelp to reply. Unfortunately, you have likely now ensured no response from ATTHelp by replying, though even if they do reply, they’ll probably give the same answer you did.
