Worth it to upgrade plan from old 22gb (throttle limited)?

Hi, I have an old AT&T unlimited 22gb (throttle afterwards). No hotspot access. Unlimited talk and text. Single line. 88$ a month.

The app is saying I can upgrade to the unlimited elite plan for $10 cheaper a month “truly” unlimited data, 40gb hotspot data, hbo max etc. 75/month

Just wondering if there are any hidden gotchas with the new plan? It seems like an overall upgrade but I’ve heard horror stories about grandfathered plans being impossible to reinstate if I switch.

There are no gotcha’s other than you need autopay and paperless billing to get that $75 price and yes, once you give up a grandfathered plan, you can’t get it back. You can also get an additional $10 discount on that plan if you qualify for a signature discount. Just FYI, you are not throttled at 22GB. You are reprioritized and subject to possible slowdown, not throttled.
