Hi @ Mike Witherby, we’re here to provide you the information.

Changing your caller ID name should typically update the display name that others see when you call them. However, if the issue persists and your caller ID name still appears incorrectly despite making changes in the AT&T app, you may want to take the following steps:

  1. Contact Our Customer Support: Reach out to our customer support via phone or chat to explain the issue. Ask them to verify the caller ID name associated with your account and ensure it matches the name you've set in the app.
  2. Check Your myAT&T Account: Log in to your AT&T online account to verify that your caller ID name is correctly set there. Sometimes, changes made in the app may not reflect immediately, so checking your online account settings can help ensure the correct information is registered.
  3. Wait for Updates: Sometimes, it can take a little time for changes to propagate across all systems and networks. If you've recently updated your caller ID name, give it some time (up to 24 hours) to see if the issue resolves itself.
  4. Consider a Factory Reset: As a last resort, if the issue remains unresolved and you suspect it's a device-specific problem, you can try a factory reset on your phone. However, be sure to back up all your data before doing this, as it will erase everything on your device.

Regarding updating the caller ID name in the national database, this typically happens automatically through us, and it's not something you can directly control. We, should ensure that the caller ID information we have on record is accurate and up to date.
