unable to get service or log into account while abroad
I'm traveling abroad and suddenly my AT&T cell phone has no service--it can pick up no carrier, in a country where it has always worked before (UK). I have tried to sign into my AT&T account on my laptop to see my account status or to use AT&T's live chat feature to speak with an agent, but the system keeps wanting to text me a code to verify my identity. But the code goes to my AT&T phone--which has no service, so I can't get the code.
How can I get into my account or contact an AT&T representative?

Evidently not. On wi-fi I'm showing one bar of connectivity, but no calls go through, nor have any texts come through.
This is a Kaios flip phone, by the way.

Your flip phone may not be capable of connecting in every area. Most flip phones are made to connect in North America only and may not be compatible with foreign carriers. If you are using AT&T prepaid you would have to purchase the $35 prepaid add-on to receive service in the UK.
I don't know if that phone is even capable of Wi-Fi calling

AT&T Cingular Flip IV. Which apparently does not allow wi-fi calling. I can't seem to get anyone to answer on AT&T's international help line (when I call from a friend's phone).

Thank you. I called the number twice earlier today and was on held 23 and 38 minutes, respectively. As for the chat, it seems only to work when one is signed into one's AT&T account. I am blocked from my account, because after entering my username and password the system sends a verification code...to my AT&T phone, which I can't get to work, so I can't get the code, so I can't complete the sign-in.
