Transfer Small Business Account to Personal

My current AT&T phone number is under a small business plan. I want to get my own personal plan and take the number with me. How do I get my small business phone number transferred to a personal plan? I have had a lot of trouble getting help with this in the past. No one ever answers the small business phone line or knows the process and I have heard different things from different times that I have called at&t customer service. I am also an authorized user on the account. I wish I could just email at&t about this, but of course they don't have an email help line.

The business account owner needs to initiate a transfer of billing responsibility of your line to you. Since you are an authorized user, you can probably do that yourself. When you accept the transfer, you will setup your own account and plan.

@sandblaster Do you know if this works for small business accounts too? Also, are they able to transfer only one line or would they be transferring the entire plan?

Yes, you can transfer a single line. I believe the process works for small business accounts too but not totally sure.
