Text/call log

I am trying to see my text and call log data from my AT&T app and it only shows me usage data as a whole under inverse data. Why is that happening?

Hey there, we want to help you view your talk and text logs @Sam09111. Let's get started.

Do you have any other service with us besides wireless, such as internet? This may be why you're seeing a general data overview in the myAT&T app.

We have a way to help you view just your wireless talk, text and data usage, however. Sign in to your myAT&T account, and go to the Usage Summary section. From there:

  1. Scroll to the wireless line you'd like to check.
  2. Choose the usage you'd like to view:
    • Data: Shows internet, app, and iMessage or Advanced messsaging used on our network.
    • Hotspot: Shows hotspot usage on our network.
    • Text: Displays SMS and MMS messages sent or receieved on our network.
    • Talk: Shows incoming and outgoing calls made on our network.
    • Mobile purchases: Displays individual purchases.

You can also download your data usage from the Usage Summary page if you'd like to keep a record of your usage, as you can only view the last 16 months worth of usage online:

  1. Select the bill period you want to view.
  2. Choose your service type:
    • Wireless only: Look in Usage by number section, find the device you want to manage, and select View more usage details and options. Choose See data, text, and talk logs.
    • More than one service: Look in Basic plan usage section, find the device you want to manage, and select View usage details. Choose how you want to view your details.
  3. Select Download, then CSV or Excel.
    • Don’t see these options? Use the forward arrows to get to the last page. Once you see all your records, you can download them.

Let us know if you're able to to view your talk and text usage logs with these steps. If not, please share a screenshot of what you're seeing so we can research this further.

Hello, I would like to see the actual text messages. Is this possible?

AT&T does not store or retain text CONTENT.
