Suspending a Phone Plan
Hello,
I am travelling abroad for three months and have att phone plan that I am not using at the moment (since I'm not in the USA). But I am still paying the charge for the plan. Is there a way to suspend my plan or pause it for the next two months? even if I have to pay a little fee.
Thank you
Tamar

as long as your not gone for more than 2 months just stop autopay and dont pay, then resume payments when you return.
If you don't pay (refill) your AT&T PREPAIDSM (formerly GoPhone®) balance, we'll automatically cancel your service 60 days after the balance expiration date. Be sure to remove AutoPay so you don't make unintended payments.

And when I resume payments, it will be just normal payments like before? I won’t have to pay for those two months right?
also, I’m not able to log into my account to switch off the autopay. It’s sending a code to my att phone number, but since I’m abroad right now that number isn’t working and I can’t get the code to access my account. Can anything else be done?
Thanks!

Hello @Tamar_Kopadze, Let us help shine some light on what to do if you are leaving the US.
We can definitely understand you not wanting to pay for service you can not use at this time.
Before you leave, change to one of the pay per use plans and either set autopay to $10 every 30 days or $25 every 90 days or do a single refill of $100. The refills will keep your account open and the account balance can be used when you return. When you return, change back to your regular plan.
If you cancel your account with AT&T. AT&T will automatically end your service.
If you are out of the US and need to make changes to your account you will need to add an international plan to your account. Learn more about AT&T Prepaid International. I am hoping these articles will help while you are out of the US.

Pay per use plans were terminated and are no longer available, haven't been available since January. Even support can no longer send you to a pay-per-use plan. Apparently a t t help is not current with their information.
