Ruined my credibility and lost my number
I can not believe I had to be apart of the scam and degrading customer service as most other people have apparently endured. After having to find a wifi coffee shop in the SF when I was supposed to be in the passport agency, to figure out why my phone was shutoff, 4 HOURS later from being repeatedly disconnected and hung up on and treated like (Edited per community guidelines), FInally was told my account was cancelled due to "not activating my phones fast enough" which I have never EVER had that problem (Edited per community guidelines) another phone company or heard of it in my life. They kept saying "It was in your terms and agreements but refused to show me where I accepted those terms because I have been going through alot of (Edited per community guidelines) already so I read over everything. An in home rep came to my house and switched me over which I already thought was strange but I had bought phones for my family in Texas for Christmas and had not gone down to see them yet is why I hadn't activated them and 1 was actually lost!!! i was trying to report it but they shut me off so quick. I was told they will not let me reactivate my account and was then charged $5700 dollars at once and get this, the guy activated them all before he left AND THEY CHARGED ME ACTIVATION FEES. so why am I being charged those fees and then being cancelled because its not activated. A bit Ironic. anyway I have been without a phone since that happened and I had given them 3 of my T-mobile phones. DO NOT USE AT&T. I will be sure if I cant get it reactivated or the money I owe taken away, I WILL cost you 10 times the money you cost me and will make sure it directly affects employees, even if they had nothing to do with it. You cannot start service with any carrier without agreeing to their customer service agreement / terms of service.
It's Jan 26th, a full month after Xmas, you could have mailed those phones.
I'm sure it would be quite a chore, you may have to go through fraud or corporate store to get your account re-established and rescue your phone number.

Hello,
Sounds like a lot of time could be saved by visiting your local corporate AT&T store to resolve or setup whatever you intended to get going for your family. The delivery is done by a third party that generally is setup to just do that, deliver and activate the phones. A coffee shop for 4 hours on WiFi is a lot longer than an hour at a store.
