Need my name removed from account asap!
How can I get my name removed from a shared account? Im the secondary owner I guess you’d call it, I’m no longer able to log into the account on the app but I have the account number, the primary owner has stolen my phone and has taken my email off of the account but will not remove my name from it. I’ve asked numerous times but the answer is “no”, I’ve called customer service and explained the situation, but still they ask for the confirmation code that has been sent to the number that I have no access to even after I’ve told them that I no longer have it, then they ask for the passcode and I was never given nor was I aware there would be a passcode, after everything the answer I’m left with is “if you’d like your name removed from the account please contact the primary account owner and chat with them”. I need my name and/or the line removed ASAP! He is pretending to be me as well as ruining my life by getting the contacts on my phone to turn against me, he has gotten me fired from my previous job, I have had the police called on me because of the things he has said.

There is no secondary owner. Only a secondary user. Your social security number is not on the account. Your name being accociated with your number is a label only. You are not responsible for the bill, he/she is.
He or she also owns the numbers and phones, according to AT&T, even if you bought yours. If you did pay for your phone, get proof, a receipt, and talk to PD. Identity theft is a crime!
You'll lose your number most likely. But walk away and start over on your own.
