More passcode stupidity....

Once again I'm trapped in the passcode cesspool of the ATT accounts pages. We need to initiate a claim, and must enter our PIN/Passcode. Early this year I went through a dozen different steps and phone calls in order to circumvent the system's repeated "Looks like we can't find your info. Check it and try again. (VCR05)" messages. At long last, days later, I was able to get a passcode reset.


Fast forward to today- I enter exactly the SAME passcode I set up in February. Result? "Looks like we can't find your info. Check it and try again. (VCR05)"


  1. Go to myAT&T and enter your ID and password.
  2. On the Confirm security passcode page, select Forgot passcode?.
  3. Follow the prompts to enter and submit your new security passcode info.

"Looks like we can't find your info. Check it and try again. (VCR05)"


It's truly amazing that the system cannot locate my account, yet for more than a decade it has reliably been able to locate me for the purpose of billing each month. 


It's time to fix this broken system ATT (yes, I know I'm saying this only for my own benefit....).

OMG its 2020 and I am now going through this (Edited per community guidelines)!!!! Four hours on the Phone just cause my text messages were not working. Could not access account, luckily I have been around since the PacBell Wireless days and I am aware of the OTA reset which did not require account access, the Rep on phone didn't even know that could work, it did but still!!! How do I fix this!!! Ugh now I have to deal with this so to the phone I go. SMH
