Missing trade in

In January, I decided to upgrade my phone and opted for the trade-in program. However, after returning the phone, I realized several months later that I wasn't receiving the promised discount. I contacted the company to address the issue, only to be informed that it was the fault of the USPS, not them, as they had lost the phone. I was astonished by their response, especially considering my 18-year tenure as a loyal customer. To my surprise, my research revealed that many others had faced the same problem. It's disheartening to think that they were willing to lose a customer over a mere $20 per month. I'm still in disbelief that they showed such apathy towards my situation. Now I find myself out $1200 for the missing phone and burdened with a $1500 phone that I have to pay off. It's frustrating that a company worth millions couldn't find a solution for me. I'm thoroughly disgusted by their actions and I sincerely hope they strive. To basically tell me to go ahead file a notice of dispute form because they weren’t helping was disgusting. Do better

In Dec. '22 I signed up for AT&T wireless and the sales rep told me my old Galaxy S8 was eligible for a trade-in promo so I opted to sign up because of this. A few months later I noticed I wasn't receiving the promised discount. I did not know that with the trade-in promo they evaluate your phone and give it a value. Apparently, if the value the return dept give it does not meet $35 or more you are not eligible for the promo discount. Why do they tell you that your phone is eligible for the discount but not explain the details of the program to you. Clearly false advertising just to get you on board. I have spoken with customer service a couple of times only to find out that the paperwork states I'm eligible for the promo discount but because the return dept low-balled me on the price of the trade-in I am not going to get the discount. I wonder how many others this has happened to as well and are stuck paying the full price for their new phones. Just like the guy who I'm commenting on his reply is stuck paying that large amount. No wonder why there yearly profits are so high because they are stealing from their customers. And I stuck in a contract for 36 months. Once my contract is up AT&T will never get my business again. Very disgruntled customer!
