Misinformed regarding rewards

Darrius [EDITED] is my agent handling transferring (4) of my wireline phone numbers from T-mobile over to AT&T in June. Offers: Credit for my remaining T-mobile bill as a credit. When transferring service, I was in the middle of the T-mobile billing cycle, which equates to $60. Although he called to notify me the credits had been delivered. When I look back on my bill, attached for your reference, all credits were adjustments from the first bill. HBO max. Darrius explained my situation was a bit complicated since my account was in transition in June. However, the actual transfer took place after July. That is when HBO max was sold to another company. He told me he is still working hard to get us that. Darrius told me there would be total of $1,000 in rewards in the form of Visa cards for all of my phone lines transferred over. However, I found out from AT&T's rewards and the wireless departments that I'm not qualified for the rewards. He needs to stop giving misinformation.

I found out that ATT terminated HBO Max service to all previously advertised plans.

@ATTHelp

Just got off the call with the rewards team. I signed up for AT&T fiber in August (installed on 8/12). After originally requesting my rewards card at the end of August they told me I will be receiving it in the mail and it can take up to 90 days to arrive. I set up a reminder for 12/12 (today) and reached out to them as still have not received the $300 visa reward card. They tell me the rewards claim has expired because it has been more than 120 days (after the rewards team member told me to wait up to 90 days). I tell them they have misinformed me and they apologize and say there is nothing they can do. Today is exactly 4 months from the day the service was activated on 8/12 (120 days in my mind) and they say it should be the day the service was requested and not activated/installed so I missed my opportunity to claim my reward by 3 days. I would argue that any person would have worked of the activation date as that is the first day of service and billing? I am extremely disappointed how this has been handled and want to know if there is anything AT&T can do to resolve this issue.

After numerous back and forth with various department of AT&T. The final answer is they will retrain the sales, and unfortunately there is nothing they can do about it. I'm extremely disappointed to be fooled. I should of trusted my first instinct. It's too good to be true. It is.

As long as you kept your old phone, you should at least qualify for 2 $250 BYOD promotions. They're spread of 25 months, not as a Visa, but at least it's something.

If you haven't yet, file a BBB complaint. That will get you in touch with someone with more power.
