large Bill credit for new wireless account

My first bill for ATT smartphone was $99 which I gladly paid in timely style... then today, before the end of cycle, I was given a large bill credit for $129 and NO cause spelled for it .....Has any one got a notion what the future holds for me and the corporation?

Read the bill, expand the + signs.  It may explain the credit.

The explanation might be on the next bill.

You only have to pay what AT&T says is due. If it makes you feel better to continue paying the regular amount in case the credit is clawed back, that's OK too, but you're basically just giving AT&T an interest-free loan.
