I NEED TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE ASAP TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT I AM TIRED OF THIS COMPANY

I AM EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE THAT I HAVE RECEIVED OVER THE LAST YEAR. I am NOT paying for a phone I no longer have IN MY POSSESSION!!! THE PHONE WAS STOLEN AND I CANNOT EVEN FILE A CLAIM.

I NEED TO SPEAK WITH A REPRESENTATIVE AND AM NOT ABLE TO DO SO UNTIL I PAY??? THAT IS AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

ON TOP OF THAT your in store representatives are ALSO incapable of meeting customers needs and answering my questions.

I WANT TO CANCEL ALL OF MY SERVICES IMMEDIATELY AND I DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH AT&T EVER AGAIN.

You're not going to fix anything by screaming at other users online.

If the phone was stolen, you are still responsible for the payments. AT&T didn't steal it from you, so your personal misfortune does not affect your obligation to AT&T. You didn't explain why you can't file a claim, but insurance is the only way to get out of paying in a situation like this.

@ATandTScamsCustomersDuringCOVID

Do you really need to post this on every thread?

People post here every day that they are going to destroy AT&T with bad press. You ignored our warnings, and future customers will probably ignore yours.

however if a customer service representative from AT&T saw this and wanted to hit me up i wouldn’t object. obviously i can’t yell at the CEO or whoever is in charge of this (Edited per community guidelines) so i’m gonna complain loudly on the internet.

@ATandTScamsCustomersDuringCOVID , repeatedly posting the same thing is against community guidelines.  So be sure to be creative and post unique rants on every thread.  Remember, we'll be grading you on creativity.

@monsterlwt , there is a small staff of AT&T Support peeps that do monitor the forums, and they may reply, but they're not going to call you based on a forum post.

You are responsible for payments on the phone event hough it was stolen. It is between you the person that stole it.

Not only are you still responsible to pay off the phone, but you're also responsible if the phone is used to do anything like call long distance to another country, or buy a whole bunch of stuff on the Google Play Store.  At least until you report it so At&t can block service.

It could also be a problem if your banking information is on there somebody could empty your bank account.   Did you remote lock it?

You should have contacted AT&T as soon as you knew your phone was missing so that they could Blacklist your phone and help you file an insurance claim.

If you don't have insurance, or waited for several weeks to file a claim that's on you.

It is certainly not AT&T fault your phone was stolen, if your car gets stolen you still have to pay the car off, unless of course you have insurance. I had a car stolen, and my insurance did not cover what I owed.    Could not replace it.

But that was my problem. It was not the problem of the bank who loaned me the money to buy the car that was stolen. It was also not the problem with the insurance company who was only responsible to reimburse me for the book value of the car.

Whether or not you cancel your service is up to you. It will mean the balance of your phone will be due immediately, per the contract and agreement that you signed with at&t
