How to opt out of ATT marketing text messaging

I tried to respond “STOP” and received the following text back, “ AT&T Auto Reply: Text message replies are not monitored. If you have questions please visit att.com”

We can help shed some light on how to update your marketing preferences, @RLKforum.

Replying STOP in the message thread will stop us from sending any more marketing text messages

Do you mind sharing a brief description of the text you received? We're asking because if the text was informational and related to your account, then this may be why you're being directed to our website.

Looking forward to your response!

Sure Sydne, thanks.

This is the text that I received,

"Hi, it's AT&T. You get an added layer of protection with the free AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app. It includes Spam Call Blocking, Breach Reports, and more at no extra charge! Visit att.com/GetArmor or go to your app store to download."

Thank you for sharing the AT&T marketing message you'd received, !

Using the suggestion we previously provided, you'll be able to stop marketing text messages from being sent to you. If you have trouble doing so, please return and let us know.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums!

And yet, like I said in my original Q,

“I tried to respond “STOP” and received the following text back, “ AT&T Auto Reply: Text message replies are not monitored. If you have questions please visit att.com”!

…and to be more clear:  I actually responded “STOP” ( I didn’t just “try”!😉) So, I already did the recommended action… it did not work, which is why I came to the forum for guidance.

Thank you for trying out our recommendation, !

We'd like to offer another suggestion that may help stop AT&T marketing messages.

Visit our AT&T Wireless Support website and select Get Suggestions. You'll be directed to the Fix an Issue section. From there you will select your device then navigate back to that section and click Connection>Messaging. Then follow the prompts and you'll come across very helpful personalized solutions.

Please return if you still can't stop AT&T marketing messages from being sent to you device.
