You can have up to 10 lines on a family plan with AT&T. Depending on how you purchase the devices, each phone can be placed on their own NEXT installment plan. A credit check happens when entering information into the ordering system to obtain a deposit and credit class for a new activation or add a line. Generally, credit check decisions are valid for up to 90 days.
