Does my boss have to approve releasing my phone records?
So my boyfriend is trying to get my phone records, but the phone I have is under my bosses plan. He pays the bill for it every month. Does my boss have to be the one to give the okay on getting my phone records.

Yes. Only the account owner or those with access to that account can get phone records for that account.
