Do iMessages sent over WiFi count against data?
My data usage was unusually high this month despite the fact that I am pretty careful about it. I DO send large attachments to friends via text (iMessage) on occasion, but usually through WiFi. I'm wondering if that's the culprit.

All iMessage is data. It's either counted as home internet data, or mobile data
I messages data process through Apple servers. SMS, regular text messages, and MMS, multimedia messages, are the only thing that does not count as data.

No, Wi-Fi doesn't use cellular data. It's possible you aren't on Wi-Fi every time you think you are, though.
