Did not receive promotion rewards
We signed up with an in home expert and with doing that we were supposed to receive (2) $250 visa gift cards (each line that signed up). Now they are telling me it went into their system as bill credits and now we won’t get the gift card. Has this happened to anyone? I’m very irritated because we signed up thinking we’d get the gift cards and now we won’t and no one at att can fix it.

Hello @Beewee23, we understand your frustration with not receiving the promotion you were expecting.
If you are receiving promo through bill credits, unfortunately there is no way to change it back to a gift card. We will be happy to help you with submitting feedback on your experience.
Let us know if you have any more questions or concerns!

@ATTHelp here’s my feedback. Your company (Edited per community guidelines) and the customer service (Edited per community guidelines) even more. But this is apparently a pattern for you. You promise your customers one thing and then they don’t get it. This was not our fault so YOU need to correct YOUR mistake. We said we wanted the cards NOT the bill credits. I find it hard to believe that a billion dollar company can’t give its customers a measly $500 to keep them happy. We have direct tv, internet and wireless and you bet we will be canceling all because we don’t want to stay with a company that screws it’s customers and lies to them. I have an article too about att not giving its customers another promotion so I’ll make sure everyone knows about it. Your internet (Edited per community guidelines) too. Everyday I have to reset it because it stops working.

@Beewee23
That's the way some of these promotions work. Some of them provide a gift card which can be applied against your AT&t service as a lump sum. Some of them provide an additional $10 off every month for 25 months. Apparently you are in the latter group.
In home reps or independent contractors and they should know enough to check what the reward is. At the time they sign you up. The reward has switched back and forth between an additional $10 off each line, and a lumpsum gift card which the customer has to claim on line with a code. I believe AT&t stopped using this particular reward because customers were not getting the code to claim their gift cards, or not claiming them within the required amount of time.

@formerlyknownas we had the choice of bill credits or visa gift card for signing up with an in home expert. We chose the gift card. Our in home expert chose gift card on her iPad that she used to sign us up. Now we are told we are getting bill credits which we did NOT want. And att won’t fix their mistake. That was the promotion for the time we signed up. The in home expert was very knowledgeable and she knew the promotions. Att doesn’t want to correct their mistake

Same here except mine is only $6 credit a month for 36 months. So I have to be with AT&T for 3 years. The “expert” also ported one of the numbers wrong and it was a mess to fix. I was overcharged every month so I took off the auto bill pay, which took away that credit. I had to call every month, explain the error again, they would credit me for the NEXT month, then the credit wouldn’t show up the next month. So I call again. It has been (Edited per community guidelines) since I switched 6 months ago. My bill is almost $300 a month because I didn’t get the deal I was promised. I signed up for AARP also, so I could get the activation fees waived. AT&T will not honor that either.
