Charged more than expected.

Anyone else have this issue?   I got caught up by people at fred meyers for some great deal.   One phone was accepted for a trade in,  still waiting for confirmation that the trade in will cover the full cost of new phone.   The other phone was not.   So we got a phone that wasn't really what we wanted,  but only because we were told it would be $3 a month for 36 months.   Which is a great deal,  but once we are billed.  It's actually $13 a month for 36 months.   Over 4x what we were told.   At that cost,  might as well have gotten a phone we actually wanted...

Did you look up the phone on the AT&T sales page? The deals are published on AT&T's page are what you would be charged.

Credits against that phone do not start for 3 months.

You are always charged the full installment on any phone you purchase even if credits make the phone free.  If you cancel service on that line before the 36 months is completed credits stop and the remainder of the phone installments are due in full.

You should have received all this information on the paperwork when you signed up for service.
