bill higher than what was expected.

The paper I got through the at&t said my bill wasn't supposed to be 75.00 month. But I get my first payment and its 177.75. Why is it so high? And also I paid 97.00 to activate the phone and they want to add it on to my bill when I already paid it

First bills are always high due to one time fees, you are billed for more than one month and discounts and credits have not kicked in yet. You did not pay to activate your phone. The only thing you pay up front is sales tax on the phone.
