BE AWARE : AT&T Customer Service bad treatment and information on BOGO Promotion IS TOTALLY SCAM!!

I went to one of AT&T stores in my area last year, they told me about a deal under the next plan where I wont be " Locked with a contract for 2 years " and the tarms are Buy one phone and get the other phone for free.
I bought the deal, Since then my bill for the 2 phones is above a $150 every month. I paid in one month $398.
I am not happy with how my bill is too high, i thought its because of me awing money on phones.
I called in and spoke with the representative and she told me clearly " If I pay off the outstanding amount for one phone I will be able to unlock both phones since its buy one get the second free. I paid the full amount and she tried to help me unlock both phones. I stressed my concern about unlocking those phones multiple times, she went and confirmed and based on that i paid off my full amount , then she tried to unlock both phones but the system didnt allow that since its has to wait 24 hours. she told me to call back to unlock those phones after 24 hours.

I called the next day, they told me I have to pay another $500 for the phone, I mentioned to them want happend the previous day. and its a promotion I purchased, they told me they cant do it. I requestd a supervisor, she was so rude and unrespectful at all, she told me the assciate I spoke to wasnt from their company. I told her how i paid this money then, she tried to say that oh, it wasnt her department. --> they directed me to a manager in different department that cant help me with the Issue?????!!!!!!! REALLY AT&T ????!!!!!!

I been doing business with this company for over 4 years.!!!

I requested them to go back to the recording, they said we cant garantee it???
who i can reach out to in order to get help with this isse?

I had the same experience!!! I have been 10 year with AT&T and I am so disappointed with their customer service. I just updated two of my 4 phones on February 12. One of the phones was defective, so after 4 days, I went back to the store to exchange the phone. The manager at the store told me that she cannot accept the phone, even though on the receipt is printed "refund policy: can be returned within 14 days".  I contacted the customer service, loyalty department and I finally went to one of their corporate stores to see if they can resolve the problem. They all told me different stories. Today I called again and spoke with another loyalty representative, who suggested me to go back again to the store...I was furious, he finally told me that he will pass  the case to his supervisor to escalate this to another department and they will contact me between 5-10 business days, which will be after my 14 days of grace period to return the phones or cancel the contract...I was furious again. I had never talked with so many different people during less than a week. They made me waste my time being over the phone for more than one hour each time explaining the same situation over and over..... I am giving them 24 hours to contact me with a real response. I do not want to explain again all the situation to anyone...they should be able to listen all the calls that I had mad and resolve my issue. I am ready to switch to another carrier.

Im going to guess the phone was an iPhone.  If an iPhone is defective you call Apple and they ship you a new phone.  This is Apples requirement

OMG!!! I am having the same exact issue as we speak. I have never been so disgusted with customer service in my life. I'm going into my second month having AT&T service and I've never been treated so badly and had to go through so much crap with phone not working phones not connecting properly my first bill should have been 175 but it was $260 now I just get my phone shut off tonight because I set up a payment arrangement to pay it here in 3 days but yet the payment arrangement didn't post properly and my phone shut off. What does AT&T do to fix the problem, they charge me a $35 fee to turn my phone back on. Thanks at&t l. I would have never signed up for any phone service that cost $260 a month that's absurd. But yet here I am now getting charged exactly that, lies and deceit.

I was totally scammed and mislead on the BOGO also. They refused to remove charges after weeks and hours of talk. The saleperson gave me BOGO and then it was not honored. This is a terrible misrepresentation by company and store. I have been a customer for over 20 and now am absolutely disgusted by the tactics used by ATT. I would never had taken a second phone. Now I am charged $700 plus had to get contract I did not want.. They lied and refuse to correct the issue. I have been trying to solve this since October BOGO sale/scam.

The BOGO offers in 2017 required a new line and TV service.  If you got a $700 phone out of the deal, you got a fair price on the phone.  No deal is without a catch.  Read the websites.

Did you add a new line?  What date?
