ATT literally (Edited per community guidelines)
ATT is literally (Edited per community guidelines). We have an attorney involved because a store allowed for a sale that was fraud and they have been forcing us to pay for it. It’s such a joke, oh and when you attempt to contact anyone it’s a million and one redirections to people who barely understand what you’re saying. There’s reasons we switched and will never go back and the fact that they’ve taken time away from me being a new parent to deal with this is upsetting. You’d think that with such a big company that they’d want to protect their customers or business but it’s a joke. There’s been no attempts to make this right and I guarantee they’ll allow for this to happen to someone else. We will not be paying ATT another dime and they can eat the old phone bill because we’re DONE

Oh and they keep saying to fill out the fraud report when, WE HAVE! You are wasting my time ATT. Hold yourself accountable

Right, because this type of fraud never happens with other service providers?
We get it you're mad, and AT&T is slow as molasses about fixing this kind of stuff. But as a current Verizon customer, and a former Verizon customer, I'm finding service from cell phone providers is decidedly not customer friendly anymore.

I’m sure it does happen with others, but at this point this happened in April, we have filed numerous complaints/ the documents and they “can’t find it” or at this point say “it needs to be verified”. I’ve even called the Bronx store it happened at and they said they have the footage and admitted to making the error. My husband lord help him has even made payments on a phone that’s not even ours because of the impact on our credit, it’s unethical

There’s no accountability and there’s no one to even speak to. ATT is a joke. At least now that we have Verizon they notified us of someone attempting our account!

🤯 April! And they are still charging you?
Well if fraud isn't doing it it's time to escalate.
First file an FCC complaint online. It's not as big a deal as it sounds like but it's a quick and easy form and it provides AT&T with methods of contacting you instead of you having to constantly try to get a hold of them.
Next a formal notice of dispute. That's a little more complicated but it lets AT&T know that you are prepared to take this the legal route through arbitration or small claims.

1. If you fail to pay your bill, it will be reflected on your credit report.
2. File a complaint with the BBB. Those are escalated to the OOP & someone should be in touch with you within a couple of days.

We know not paying our bill impacts credit. Hence why we’ve now paid $600 for a phone that was purchased under fraudulent circumstances.
