Activate your New Phone – Steps from AT&T

If you purchased your phone online, you may need to activate your new phone and SIM card before use. Below we have helpful tips to make this an easy process.

Once you are done activating your device, you can log in to your myAT&T account where you can check information like billing, features, upgrade options, and much more!

Activating your device

  1. Insert the SIM card - You can also find this information in your user manual.
  2. Go to att.com/activations.
  3. Select Activate your device for AT&T wireless device.
  4. Enter the required information.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Follow the prompts to complete your activation.

Heads Up: If you are trading in your device, you can normally move your SIM to your new device. (the SIM card must be the same size).

Hello @ ! Allow for us to provide some helpful suggestions to get your mobile device functioning correctly!

Before we continue, we would need a little more information from you to be of further assistance:

  • Was the phone sent to you in relation to our 3G Sunsetting Program or was this the result of another order?
  • "Neither phone works", is there another device that you have? If so what is the make and model of the device? What errors are you having with the separate device?
    • Please provide us with as much information as possible so we can work to resolve the issue.
  • We noticed you mentioned, your AT&T account is not Prepaid is that correct?
    • If so, then your AT&T Account will require your mobile device to include a compatible SIM card. Feel free to access the following link to get started on ordering one.

We kindly await your response!
