Numbersync and Galaxy watch 5 pro

Had my watch for 3 months now and have been unable to get numbersync to work with my s22 ultra.  Currently on my 2nd phone call with advanced tech support and now they are telling me the 2 devices are not compatible.  Unbelievable!  Numbersync needs to be discontinued or updated.  I guess I only have 1 option-to switch carriers.   I’ll let T-Mobile or Verizon pay off the majority of the new phones we recently purchased.

Verizon doesn't have an offer to pay off your devices.

What is the history on the phone? Is it an AT&T branded phone or is it a non-branded unlocked device?  If your phone is a non AT&T version, you should be using the galaxy wear app and setting up Samsung call and text on other devices not number sync

Have you changed your number sync password, reset the watch and started over more than once?

Every time Samsung releases a new watch there are a handful of watches that don't work well with numbersync, number share and digits.  To me that says the problem with Samsung not a problem with at&t, verizon, or T-Mobile software.  If it were a problem with number sync, number share, and digits, none of the watches would work which is not true.

Have you contacted Samsung about warranty replacing the watch?

I had a years long issue with numbersync not working with my Galaxy S22 Ultra and my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. It initially worked fine but at some point stopped working late last year. I went thru what you are going thru but despite all attempts, no one could get numbersync to work. Just recently I was told by tech support that my watch and phone were no longer compatible. I was (Edited per community guidelines)! Both the phone and watch were bought thru Samsung not AT&T. Given that, I called Samsung Tech support and was told it was an AT&T issue. AT&T just sent me a Galaxy Watch 5 which once an Esim was uploaded, I activated numbersync and it worked perfectly. For me, having numbersync isn't just a cool convenience, it's a must as I have had a recent heart transplant and need to be connected to the hospital 24/7. My best advice is to head into an AT&T store and have them wipe the current Esim and reinstall and then try numbersync again. It doesn't make a difference whether the watch and phone were bought thru AT&T or Samsung. It should work.

Anyone who told you your s22 and the Galaxy watch for are not compatible is an idi0t.   Which from AT&T supports does not surprise me. It's the default when they don't have an answer. Not only is your device compatible but my watch for and my s22 work just fine together.

If you look for reviews of the Bluetooth only versions you will see some of the same identical complaints. "watch won't pair" It is a Samsung fault in the watch.

Occasionally it is because people are using the Google Wear application instead of the Galaxy wear app.

I can tell you that I have had my galaxy z flip 4 and galaxy pro 5 watch and nobody can pair it... through the wear app... through the website... I had best buy provide me an exchange of another brand new pro watch with lte and nobody at AT&T can sync the numbers. I think it's been like 8 months that i've been off and on trying to get this executed in my spare time... I'm beyond frustrated at this point but stuck for the moment...The dude at AT&T said you should have bought apple...I nearly lost my mind on everybody at the store when that was said... i've had enough... so my response... yeah i do for 2 of the 4 people in my house and walked out.

I don't know where you got that information but it's incorrect. Numbersync is still the software program used to sync Android devices to an Android phone

@Suppashawn

Just based on your post, I'm thinking you're doing it wrong.

You have to have the number sync feature added to your phone line, and you have to create an access ID for that phone line which is different from the access ID for the primary number. If you are the primary number, change your access ID password.

Make sure you are using the Samsung 'Wear' app not the Google app.

If you are using an unlocked phone, use Samsung's call and text on other devices instead.

I don't know who you spoke to but anyone that works for tech support knows darn well that numbersync is still functional and used.  I wish they would replace it with something better, or just improve it, but that has not happened.

Perhaps you misunderstood. For example prepaid cannot use number sync, never have been able to use number sync.  Or if you're on the value plus plan pretty much the same as prepaid it's a single line only you cannot add a second line and you cannot use number sync
